After such a fabulous Shakespeare in the Vines in 2010, Flint just had to do it again with the Essential Theatre Company in 2011, TWICE! Presenting the romantic comedy 'Much Ado About Nothing' the tale goes....After victory at was Don Pedro leads his soldiers including the dashing young Claudio and the clever wordsmith Benedick to the home of Leonato. The soldiers are greeted warmly by Leonato and his charming daughter Her and consequently invited to stay for the month. Leonato's witty niece, Beatrice, engages in a merry war of words with Benedick; both talking a mile a minute, proclaiming their scorn for love, marriage and each other. In contrast, Claudio & Hero upon meeting for the first time are rendered practically speechless by their love for one another and are quickly betrothed. Everyone is convinced Benedick and Beatrice should couple, so a cunning plan to trick them into confessing their love for each other is devised. Meanwhile the bastard brother of Don Pedro, devises a meddling plan to trick Claudia into rejecting Hero at the altar accusing her of being unfaithful. Come and sit back and relax and enjoy the summer evenings and this amazing event outdoor on the lawns of Shaw Vineyard Estate. All food and beverage is on site. Strictly NO BYO food or beverage. Wine, beer, soft drinks, tea, coffee, local handmade chocolates, gelato, wood fired pizzas, nibbles, hampers and a meal before or after if you wish. Gates open from 5pm. Purchase tickets online, or call us at the restaurant and we can process your credit card over the phone. Tickets will be sent via express post mail for tracking purposes. Dining & Show options: For something a bit more special, come for a late afternoon meal to enjoy before the show. Available to start from 4pm, a 2 course meal from our seasonal a la carte menu will be offered ($45 per person) and the ticket to the show that starts at 6:30pm ($45 per person). Allocated seating will be held for you for the show. Limited to 70 guests.
To follow up a great show, come and dine in the restaurant with a 3 course meal ($65) which you may select from our seasonal a la carte menu. Dinner from 8pm. You could nibble on a antipasto hamper during the show and follow up with dinner. How delightful! Limited to 70 guests. |
