Flint in the Vines is located in cool climate wine country, Murrumbateman. It is located 30 minutes from central Canberra and is a picturesque drive from the city. Flint in the Vines resides on the Shaw Vineyard Estate, a boutique winery established in 1998 on "Olleyville", a 700 acre fine wool producing property established in the mid 1800's. This historic property is reminiscent of a scene from Tuscany. The terracotta building is perched amongst the undulating vineyard and Anne Shaw’s delicate rose garden.
Flint in the Vines has two areas to choose from for your reception, indoors in our spacious dining room or outdoor dining on the terrace. Both options have magnificent views of the vineyard and the surrounding grounds that have a rustic charm. We also have several options for holding your ceremony on site. We would be happy to discuss this with you should you be interested.
There is ample parking at the venue as well as the option to arrange a private charter for your guests into and out of Murrumbateman. We would also be happy to recommend accommodation options in the region as well as other associated services for your wedding.

The special needs required for members of our family were taken in to account throughout the planning and communicated with all your staff. We received many positive comments on the food and the wine, as well as the pleasantness of the venue itself. Firstly, Katie, your professionalism, organisation, creativity and warmth made planning a wedding at Flint in the Vines at Shaw Vineyard Estate so easy and stress free. You took care of all the details and we had complete confidence that everything would come together on the day just as we had planned and it did!! The work you put into setting up, the personal touches you added and your attention to detail exceeded my expectations. I knew everything would be beautiful but I had no idea how just amazing the place would look, it took my breath away.
The food was absolutely AMAZING! All of our guests commented on how extraordinary the food was. We knew from previous meals at Flint in the Vines how exceptional it is, but we were so happy to be able to share it with our family and friends. We had so many comments on everything, but the dessert buffet was a real highlight – my personal favourite was the strawberry and mascarpone tarts, OMG unbelievably good!

''Thank you for our kids' wedding management yesterday which everyone agreed was a magnificent affair expertly arranged by yourself and the staff of Flint in the Vines. The balloons on the road were a welcome surprise touch and the first indicator of wonderful things to come. One of our guests later in the evening told me in all seriousness while in helpless laughter at some joke that was going around her table that it was the best wedding she had ever attended. I was very appreciative that no-one on staff panicked when we started dancing the Serbian kolo, particularly as most of the dancers had never done it before.
